Intelsat has announced start of its in-flight connectivity services in Indian skies, thanks to a partnership with Nelco, India’s leading satellite communication service provider.
Intelsat is a leading provider of in-flight connectivity and operates one of the world’s largest integrated satellite and terrestrial networks (IFC).
Intelsat’s airline partners and flyers will benefit from end-to-end broadband coverage on domestic and international aircraft flying to or from an Indian airport, as well as aircraft flying over India.
The agreement with Nelco creates new possibilities for Intelsat to serve India’s domestic airlines.
NELCO’s managing director and CEO, PJ Nath said that partnership will create great opportunity for growth of its Aero IFC services in the coming years. Nelco intend to be a leader in this market in India.
