Intel has chosen ten startups for its Intel Ignite program’s first cohort in Boston. The 12-week programme began on November 9, 2022. More than 500 startups applications were reviewed. After reviewing around 60 potential startup firms qualified for due diligence process. Post due diligence, eighteen startup firms were shortlisted, out of which 10 firms were ultimately selected. More than hundred Company executives, business and technical leaders, VC’s and entrepreneurs heard the pitches of the founder. Startups were evaluated across various parameters, post which selection was made.
After reviewing over 500 prospects, 60 high-potential startups underwent due diligence. Then, 18 startups were shortlisted, with ten eventually chosen. More than 100 Intel executives and technical leaders, top venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem influencers listened to detailed presentations from the short list of founders, evaluated the companies based on a variety of criteria, and assisted Intel Ignite in determining the final selected companies. Intel Ignite has recently been expanded into Boston. In addition to existing programmes in Tel Aviv and Munich, the new programme in the United States will pair each startup with Intel Lead Mentors and industry mentors for weekly meetings. The programme will include sales and marketing workshops, assistance in achieving product-market fit more quickly, culture and team building, networking and coaching sessions with industry experts, and sessions on how to deal with difficult economic situations. Mentors will advise startups on crisis management and share their takeaways for successfully managing and building businesses in the face of adversity.
The new cohort includes a variety of seed startups, each with more than $8.5 million in seed or pre-seed capital. They range from cloud computing to restaurant management to machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Ninety startups have graduated from Intel’s programmes in Tel Aviv and Munich since 2019.
Companies chosen under the program includes firms having wide range of technology and business applications including firms from cloud computing to to machine learning and artificial intelligence platforms.
