Apple has announced about its ambitious plan to make every product carbon neutral by 2030. This includes a new framework for producing iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air and Apple Watch models with reduced climate impact. Announcement comes ahead of Earth Day.
Additionally, the firm is introducing new collaborations for community engagement and innovative climate solutions. Customers are encouraged to learn more and take action through newly curated collections and specially designed activities available across Apple platforms.
Even while the company’s sales increased by more than 68 percent between 2015 and 2018, Apple has reduced its overall carbon footprint by more than 45 percent.
The use of recycled and other low-carbon materials in the construction of products as well as the expansion of renewable energy throughout its worldwide supply chain have prevented the emission of more than 28 million metric tonnes of carbon.
